Marouflage :
technique which consists of superimposing several layers of translucent paper, binding them together with transparent glue. During the layering process the paper is bleached or tinted with colour by applying watercolour wash, acrylic paint, oil paint, etc.  In some works the incrustation of unusual materials and metallic pigment serves to create textural and relief effects.
